Monday, 21 June 2010 – National Insurance Co Bhd extended its Corporate Social Responsibility to students in five schools in the Temburong district. The money was raised during National Insurance Co Bhd’s 40th anniversary from the sales of the anniversary’s corporate merchandise and activities on 17 January 2010.
Donations in the form of uniforms, books and school accessories were presented to forty – eight under privilege students from SR Semambat, SR Sultan Hashim, Batu Apoi, SR Piasau – Piasau, SR Labu Estate and SR Kenua by Kolja Klawunn, General Manager of NICB.
Present at the event were Cikgu Muhammad Hazrin Bin Abdullah, Cikgu Isa Bin Duraman from Temburong Department of Schools, principals from all the schools and Dk Kemariah Pg Hj Duraman, Manager HR & Admin from NICB. The event was held at SR Sultan Hassan in Bangar town.
Previous schools which had received similar assistance were Sekolah Rendah Melilas, Sekolah Rendah Sukang in rural Belait, Chung Hwa Middle School in Bandar Seri Begawan, Sekolah Rendah Sengkarai, Sekolah Rendah Penanjong and Chung Hwa School Kiudang in Tutong and Pusat Bahagia.
National Insurance will continue in this charitable drive in assisting students as part of their social responsibility.
