NOVEMBER 2006 - National Insurance Company Berhad's Hari Raya Gathering was held on Wednesday, 15th November 2006 at Millennium Restaurant, Gadong. We would like to thank those who joined the celebration.
SEPTEMBER 2006 - Dividend of 7.5 cents per ordinary share for the year ended 31st December 2005 was approved at the Annual General Meeting of NICB held at the Sheraton Utama Hotel on 15th September 2006. The AGM was chaired by HRH Prince Abdul Qawi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company.
JULY 2006 - Our heartiest congratulations to our Deputy Chairman, Yang Mulia Dato Paduka Timothy Ong, on being bestowed Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei Yang Amat Mulia Darjah Kedua (D.P.M.B) by His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam on the occasion of His Majesty’s 60th birthday on 15th July 2006.
JULY 2006 - National Insurance Agents' Night was held on Saturday, 8th July 2006, attended by agents and staff. The General Manager, Mr Nicholas Cheng gave an opening speech by thanking all agents for their support and contribution and shared the achievement of our team to the Summit of Mt Kinabalu. It was a fun and enjoyable "FIFA Worldcup" theme night with very entertaining programmes and performances by staff and some of the agents. In recognition of the agents' achievements, several awards were given out during the evening as well.
JUNE 2006 - More than 45 staff, agents, their family members and members of the public turned up for the bi-annual blood donation on 3rd June 2006 organized by National Insurance Co. Bhd. We would like to thank the donors for their time and good deed.
MAY 2006 - A mark of triumph and the proudest moment in the lives of each and every climber's history! All the climbers from our group managed to reach the summit at 13,500 feet! An insurmountable feat indeed! Congratulations on the achievement!
APRIL 2006 - National Insurance presented the Employee of the Year Award 2005 at this annual staff party on 29th and 30th April 2006 in Miri. We are pleased to congratulate Mary Wong Hiah Ting who won the award. This annual award is based on 6 criteria: teamwork participation, customer service, contribution to company's goals, willingness to take on additional responsibilities, contribution to quality systems improvement and giving the highest standard of performance in work and is open to non-management staff. The employee with the highest nominations wins.

Response to this regular event has always been overwhelming and we would like to thank the donors for their time and good deed.
AUGUST 2005 - National Insurance Agents Night was held at the Goldstone Ballroom, The Centrepoint Hotel on Saturday, 27th August 2005, attended by agents, corporate clients and invited guests. The General Manager, Mr. Nicholas Cheng gave a welcome speech by thanking all agents for their support and contribution. Besides a sumptuous meal, the agents were also entertained with performances by live bands. In recognition of the agents' achievements, several awards were given out during the evening as well.
JULY 2005 - The Management and staff of National Insurance Company Berhad (NICB) were more than delighted to show up for work on Sunday, 3rd July 2005 despite being a holiday, for a very special occasion to welcome their beloved ruler who had kindly consented to visit their office after officially opening the Scouts Complex, where the office is located on the 3rd floor.
At the end of the Royal visit, His Majesty signed a plaque to commemorate the visit and received a token of appreciation before consenting to take a group picture with the staff.
The country's Crown Prince, HRH Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, and another of His Majesty's son, HRH Prince Abdul Malik, accompanied the Sultan on the visit.
